“Any man can be a Father, but it takes someone special to be a Dad.” -Anne Geddes

Doing the laundry
Brushing and braiding hair
Helping with homework
Finishing their work
These are just some of the tasks that you would think moms have to do. Often times we forget that it’s not only single mothers, but single fathers as well. This Father’s Day, we commend the single fathers that have not given up, have not left their child(ren)’s side, and continue to fight for their little ones.
As of 2013, there are reportedly 2.0 million single fathers in the United States. Those fathers are struggling everyday to make ends meet for their little ones. (fatherhood.gov)
At BWS, we can help make some of those ends meet with supplying father’s with material needs for their tiny humans, medical needs, or for when they just need advice on how to properly take care of their child. There is never any harm in asking a question!
Check out this dad as he receives the father of the year award for taking his little girl on her first date!
Born and raised in Kittanning, Pennsylvania, Leslie is a 2016 graduate of Edinboro University of Pennsylvania. Her drive and passion to help others brought her to BWS the same year and she continues to use her creativity and hard work mentality to make sure families have what they need to become stable and healthy. When she’s not at the office, you can find her reading, scrapbooking, with her wonderful pit bull, Degan, or brainstorming her next big idea!
